Source: Katie Unger
Preheat to 450 F. 1/2 hour at 450
then 1 1/2 - 2 hours at 350 F.
INGREDIENTS
4 lb. pork spareribs
1 peeled and sliced onion
1 thinly sliced lemon
Sauce:
1 t. chili powder
1 t. salt
2 cups water
1/8 t. tobasco
1/3 cup worchestershire
1 cup ketchup
INSTRUCTIONS
Cut spareribs into pieces, spread in pan, meatier side up. Place 1 slice lemon and 1 slice onion. Roast for 30 min at 450 F (lid off). Make sauce by combining ingredients and heating. At the end of 30 min reduce heat to 350 F and pour hot sauce over ribs. Baste every 15 min. for 1 - 2 hours. If sauce gets too thick add water.
Note: This is really a great, adaptable recipe. its easy and the ribs come out wonderfully tender and tasty. I usually substitute some soy sauce for some worchestershire, add a little celery seed and half the ketchup can be one of kates amazing salsas. I used peach salsa the other day. was wonderful. CU

Sauce alternate 2: use a small can of peaches, a small green pepper and a small onion and blend. add soya sauce, worchestershire, celery seed, ketchup, sweet chili sauce, salt, chili powder, a dash of allspice and a dash of cloves
