Bake at 350 F. for 20 min.

Note: Easy, decadent but might just keep you awake, they're just that chocolatey |
INGREDIENTS: |

2 eggs
1/2 c. shortening (butter flavour is nice)
1 c sugar
1/2 c flour
1/2 c. cocoa
|

1/2 t salt
1 t. vanilla
1 t. cinnamon (optional)
1/3 c. chopped nuts (optional)
1 cup (approximate) chocolate chips |

Grease an 8” square baking pan
beat eggs, sugar, and shortening.
Sift together remaining ingredients except nuts. Add to wet ingredients. mix til blended and fold in nuts. Spread evenly in pan.
Bake 20 minutes at 350 F and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Once the chips are soft, spread them evenly across the surface.
This dessert is particularly nice with a dolop of whipping cream. |
