Mom's Plum Cake

Bake at 400 F. for 20 min.
Amount:one square baking pan
Note: Quick and tasty, serve with a plop of whipping cream to dress it up. I'm sure you can use other plums and apples and other fruits work with this as well, I just really like blue plums. Christine Unger

INGREDIENTS:
Dough:
2 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter
1 egg and enough milk to make on cup
Italian Blue Plums, pitted and halved

Streusel Topping:
1/2 cup flour

1/2 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons butter
Dough:
Mix dry ingredients together, cut in butter as with pie dough. Make a well in the center. beat the egg and milk lightly and pour into the well in the dry ingredients. Mix gently just to wet thoroughly.

Streusel Topping:

mix flour and sugar, cut in butter.

Spread dough into greased 9 inch square baking pan.
Place plums on top of dough, cut side down one layer only.
Spread Steusels evenly and bake.
